About William Woodrow: 364th Army Airforce Bomb Squadron, tail Gunner.

Master Sgt. William Preston's crew renamed their B-17 the "Jersey Bill" after their chief was fatally wounded over Mannheim, Germany on January 5, 1944. A map of New Jersey was painted on the bomber, a gold star marking Bergenfield.
